Getting started
Carton works as an ordinary Shopify theme from the moment you install it. The wholesale features switch themselves on as soon as your store has B2B data to show.
1. Install and pick a preset
Carton ships two presets. Choosing one sets colours, type and spacing; you can change any of it afterwards.

2. Set up your header, footer and home page
In Online Store → Themes → Customize, add your logo and choose your menus in the header and footer. Carton’s header supports three menu levels — build the nesting in Navigation and the theme renders it as a mega menu automatically.
3. Turn on your wholesale display
Set up companies, catalogs, quantity rules and volume pricing in your Shopify admin as normal. Carton reads them and displays them. See Wholesale features for what appears where, and which admin setting drives it.
4. Add the ordering pages you want
Quick order, reorder and request-a-quote are page templates. Create a page in Online Store → Pages, then assign the matching template. See Ordering tools.
No apps required. Every feature described in this documentation is part of the theme or part of Shopify. If something here needs an app, it says so on the page.
Requirements
- Any Shopify plan for the storefront itself.
- Wholesale pricing and companies need B2B on Shopify, available on Shopify Plus. Stores without B2B see Carton as a standard retail theme, with the wholesale display simply not appearing.
- Complementary product recommendations use the free Search & Discovery app from Shopify; related products need nothing.
